The Asian continent, home to several parent civilizations and over half of humanity, is today at a crossroads.Pressing issues - regarding trade, security, identity and the environment to name just a few - transcend our national and historical boundaries. As the local and the plural jostle with the global, we need appropriate, innovative entrepreneurship in order to script a sustainable future for our challenged cultural continuum.
The concerns of The Asian Heritage Foundation encompass the cultures, traditions, public affairs, arts and sciences of all regions of Asia. It initiates programs that span research & documentation, training & transmission, promotion & conservation of the continent’s diverse heritage. It seeks civic society participation in a movement for a modern continent by serving international collaboration involving cross-cultural dialogue. It aims to support projects that reconcile the frictions between people, technology and nature, between the old and new, the East and West that are manifest in cultural production and services.
